KAPE TAYO comes from a Filipino phrase that means "let's go together" — a call to gather, to share a moment, to sit down and be present with the people who matter.
We opened our doors on Bissonnet Street because Houston deserved a space that felt like a home kitchen — warm, generous, and unhurried. Our recipes draw from Filipino culinary traditions passed down through generations, adapted for the hands that bake them today.
Every item on our shelves carries a story. The sourdough that rises slowly overnight. The ensaymada that recalls Sunday mornings at a family table. The grocery finds that help you recreate a meal at home. This is food with memory, and memory with flavor.
